February has come early

It's Groundhogs Day!! Beirut style. That's how Spencer describes it. He gets up at the same time, eats the same thing at the same time, starts work, takes breaks, goes to bed at the same time EVERY DAY. But he said it's worse than Groundhog's Day because he can't change a darn thing about it. Sure, I'm going to blow off my morning routine and go learn to play the piano. It'll be easy, well, and my father was a piano mover, so. Anyway, the good side of it is that the view is gorgeous! The consulate is situated on a mountainside with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean. And the cafeteria food is amazing! It really is Lebanese food. What else would you expect in Lebanon? Grilled chicken, hummus, garlic spread and a thick slice of tomato all rolled up in the most heavenly baladi bread you can imagine! (it's kind of like pita bread, but better) And, umm, I'm not sure what he has for breakfast, but it's his lunch and dinner staple. If they offer it at breakfast, I'm sure he's eating it. That's what he looks forward to each day. Oh, and his roommate snores like a chainsaw. ALL NIGHT. He said he's been going to the little gym they've got there to wear himself out so he can just collapse from exhaustion, but then, when he still can't sleep, he's even more tired in the morning, soooo. It did rain the second day he was there! But I don't think that it will snow on his last!
