We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here at our house. We were joined by our friends, the Johnsons.
The main event, of course, was the turkey. Since he decided a couple of months ago that fried turkey was the only kind that would grace his Thanksgiving table, Bryan has painstakingly researched the process. A perfect fried turkey takes effort.

| Dropping it in... |
| Totally submerged in boiling peanut oil |
| It's beautiful! |
| Look at all that delicious, tender, juicy meat! |
Bryan also really wanted to make rolls. From scratch. Just like his Aunt Bev used to make for Thanksgiving. We had done a few test runs over the last two weeks or so, and felt that we had perfected our technique.

| That's me, working the dough |
| Pretty satisfying result, I would say |
| Here's (most of) our spread -- rolls, stuffing, gravy, fresh fruit, and turkey. The mashed potatoes and fancy Sprite-and-white-grape-peach drink didn't make it into the shot. I was in a rush to eat! |

| Archie wondered what in the world was going on with all the cooking and whatnot |
| For dessert, we made an altered version of Bryan's mom's soda cracker pie |

| Happy family |
We missed everyone, but we had a really nice day. Archie's first Thanksgiving was a success!
